The Bangalow Barn sits on the quiet edge of Bangalow, one of the prettiest villages in the Byron Bay hinterland, in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Country calm, creek-side privacy and starry skies - with the village a minute away and Byron Bay's beaches twenty minutes down the road.
Bangalow village
One minute from the barn. Heritage shopfronts, verandahs and an easy, slow pace. Wander Byron Street for good coffee, long lunches, galleries, boutiques and homewares, then pick up local produce and a bottle of something for the fire pit. The monthly Bangalow Market is a hinterland favourite.
Byron Bay
Twenty minutes away. Golden beaches, surf breaks, the Cape Byron walking track and lighthouse, and some of the best dining on the east coast. Spend the day by the sea, then come home to the quiet.
The hinterland
Rolling green hills, rainforest, waterfalls and small villages to explore. Minyon Falls and the hinterland rainforest walks are about thirty minutes away. Drive the back roads to neighbouring towns like Newrybar, Federal and Brunswick Heads, or find a farm-gate stall on the way home.
Bring the dog
The barn is dog-friendly, and cats are welcome too. Pets come inside with you - just off the beds and lounges, and never left home alone. Send word when you book (a small pet fee applies). Back at the barn
Some days the best plan is no plan: the heated magnesium pool, the infrared sauna, claw-foot tubs under the stars, the fire pit, and your own spring-fed swimming hole on Byron Creek.
